The History of Magic the Gathering Told Via A Card From Every Set 18: Kamigawa Neon Dynasty- Brothers' War

So here we are.  As of this video, the history series has officially caught up with the present day... At least until February when Phyrexia: All Will Be One Comes out.

In this video, we go over every, standard-legal, set released in 2022. It's been a packed year with some great sets. Battle For Baldur's Gate was actually my favourite set released this year, which is a bit of a hot take I guess.  In terms of standard legal stuff though, I think I enjoyed playing around with Dominaria United the most.

Enjoy :)

The History of Magic the Gathering Told Via A Card From Every Set 17: Kaldheim-Innistrad: Crimson Vow

Hard to believe it's been 4 months since I last uploaded one of these.  In this video we cover all of the sets released in 2021.  Adventures in the Forgotten Realms was actually the first set I was able to go out to a pre-release for since the start of the pandemic. I had a really nice night, even though the set itself isn't amazing.

When I bring out the next one of these videos we will have caught up with the present day.

Enjoy :)

Let's Talk About Treasure Tokens & Accompanying Article

Hello everyone,

Here's a link to my latest video, an analysis of the discourse around treasure tokens.  They've been a part of the game since 2017, but since 2021 they've really begun to appear in huge numbers.  This video tracks the thoughts of the community on them, and discusses whether treasure cards are fine or potentially problematic.

I also have an article to accompany it, which breaks the data down in even greater detail and features some quotes from notable content creators like Nizzahon Magic and DiceTry who I spoke to when putting this piece together.

Thanks and have great day, 😀

Hope you like it. :)

Cubing Misconceptions (Featuring Andy and Anthony from Lucky Paper Radio)

Way back in January, I interviewed Andy and Anthony, the hosts of the Lucky Paper Radio podcast.  We had a chat about the cube format and some common misconceptions which stop people from playing it. After a lot of editing, I've put together this video which contains the highlights from our hour and a half long interview.  Next week I will upload the audio of the interview in its entirety.

Enjoy :)

The History of Magic the Gathering via a Card From Every Set 15: Guilds of Ravnica, Ravnica Allegiance, War of the Spark & Core Sets 2019 and 2020

Here's the latest instalment in my series on the History of Magic: The Gathering. We're looking at Core Sets 2019 and 2020 as well as Guilds of Ravnica block.  War of the Spark is probably one of the most significant sets in the history of the game.  It's strange to think that it came out almost 3 years ago now.

Enjoy :)

The History of Magic the Gathering told via a Card From Every Set 14: Kaladesh to Dominaria

Hey guys, here's my newest The History of Magic: The Gathering video.  The last of these came out in August, so it's been a while.  I have been experimenting with some new kinds of content, but it's good to return to something familiar.

At exactly 29 minutes in length, this is the longest video in this series so far. We cover 7 whole sets from Kaladesh to DominariaDominaria holds a pretty special place in my heart, and going to the Dominaria pre-release is probably one of my favourite MTG Memories.

As always I hope you enjoy :)
